Another travel win and a lovely day in Rethymnon

Well, today was the covid test date. We made our way to the medical clinic that our hotel recommended. They make you wait outside until they call you in, then you have to give them your papers, passports and vaccination cards and fill out some things, then they send you a couple of doors down to another place where they actually do the test, and then you wait for the results, take them back to the first office, and then they print out and stamp an official test result. All seemed to be going well until they asked us to come back in for re-testing. That gave me a smallk heart attack, but it turned out that the first tech just hadn't gotten a good sample. HUGE sigh of relief!

Having accomplished this crucial task, we made our way back to the hotel, got directions to the bus station, and set out to take a little trip along the northern coast of Crete to a town named Rethymnon.  It was a good idea, as we got to see a bit of the countryside and spend a few hours wandering around a really cute area.
