Made it!

As you can see from the sharp gentleman standing here with my suitcase we actually made it to Athens successfully and were picked up by Nikos who was delightful and made our days in Athens so pleasant. He was our driver to get us to our hotel this night and then for the next two days for whenever we wanted him to go and wherever. It was perfect. The New hotel in Athens could not be in a better location. We loved being right in the center of everything.  This first night all we had time to do was settle in and go to the restaurant on the rooftop for a meal and to have a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The restaurant/bar is really cute, is very well-decorated and we had a wonderful meal. There is a terrific view of the Acropolis right out on the porch; we were going to eat outside but it was a little bit too cold. When we went out to take pictures, one of the waiters took us around to an empty penthouse suite where we could get even better views, so so far so good we're off to a good start.
