Rain of biblical proportions
Normally I do tons of research on any destination we choose, and Greece was no exception. I came with the firm conviction that we wouldn't even need jackets here. In fact, the weather in Athens was perfect, but now we're in Corfu, and. . .
Later on, when we got a break in the weather and had gone into Corfu old town, we no sooner ordered a coffee in the arcade on Liston than the rain came down in sheets, forcing everyone to try to find a spot under the awnings. Since Randy had not brought a jacket, once the rain subsided we were off on the hunt. Randy had heard that you should never settle for the first Greek offer, so he bought a 75 euro jacket for 78! She was adorable, though.
Later on we had just stopped into a cute little restaurant that was outdoors under a canopy, and this time the rain came down in wind-whipped sheets! Accompanied by lightning and thunder that scared the bejeesus out of Lynn. Randy said he next expects a swarm of locusts. | Randy in the cafe Bristol, in his new jacket |
